THEATRICAL VISITS TO NECROPOLIS PUIG DES MOLINS

The theatrical visits to the necropolis of Puig des Molins, give us the opportunity to know the most extensive and best preserved necropolis of the Mediterranean and that conserves remains from the seventh century B.C. through the presentation of scenes of historical Ibiza in a theatrical way with actors and actresses who know our history.

Through a narrator the different funeral rituals are represented: Phoenician, Punic and Roman.

This funerary enclave founded by the Phoenicians in the mentioned seventh century B.C. and which was also used by Punics and Romans, has been key in the interpretation of the history of Ibiza.

Among its more than 3,000 tombs carved in the rock, thousands of archaeological remains have been found that can now be seen in the museum of Puig des Molins.

The City Council of Ibiza has successfully organized these theatrical visits for some time with the aim of bringing native people and visitors closer to the fascinating history of Ibiza.

The musem organizes guided theatrical tours throughout the year by actors and actresses who know the history of Ibiza.

Through a narrator the different funeral rituals are represented: Phoenician, Punic and Roman.
